LeHenry Solomon


LeHenry Solomon is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years’ experience in the field of mental health working with various Los Angeles County Departmental agencies including mental health, child protective services, public health and probation. LeHenry has supervised fatherhood programming and has worked on federal studies researching the impact of attachment between fathers and their children under the age of 3. LeHenry has trained both county and community agencies on the impact of fatherhood on the lives of children and the overall impact on the community.

He is also currently a community member on the African American Infant Maternity and Mortality Committee (AAIMM) through the Department of Public Health where he helped develop and facilitates a group for fathers to decrease the disproportionate numbers of mortality for African American women and their infants.  He has worked with coaches at the youth and high school level in identifying trauma responses in athletes and developing strategies to support their overall growth and development as athletes and citizens. LeHenry was featured in the documentary Fatherhood (2018) directed by Ben Gregor and is the founder of That’s My Dad.

Aims & Objectives for LeHenry's Workshop:

This workshop will address the impact of fatherhood in the family and community. Participants will know and understand when and where paternal figures are needed and the outcomes associated with their presence.
